One Cubalaya, two Ancona, one EE. All in the nest box.
One Australorp - NOT in the nest box.

One of the girls had to go in and check it out when I was done. She got up in, looked around, went to the other, gave it a once over, and went back out with the rest of the flock.

She had to make sure the help was doing a proper job. You KNOW how hard it is to get good help these days!

out of 13 hens ....temps are dropping and there feeling it!

I'm getting 2-3 a day! It was so windy yesterday, that when the girls decided to go outside they're coop, the wind blew the door shut behind them! They where stuck outside for acouple hours and when I got home and opened the door they all came running for the feeder.

And every morning I go out to check on them little C.C. is sitting in the nesting box.

Yesterday got 13...but I didn't get to the coop Monday so double duty. Today 7 but no ee egg, but she just started laying so she should kick in soon...loving my chickens!


Just wondering...does anyone here live around Batesville AR? If so do any of you have silkies?? I would like to get hens or started pullets. My daughter is selling some of her roos-I want to lessen the blow.
