Eleven yesterday, a new record. All but that stupid broody Fav that sits in the empty nest thinking she's doing something valuable.
Zorra sort of slacked yesterday, "only" a 58g egg. She's usually in the low to mid 60s with the occasional whopper 78, 80, 84, 88.
Yue popped out the whopper yesterday - 80 grams.
Won't know today until later. Let them out just after 8 and no eggs at that time. The Fav was in the box (Natch) and a couple of other girls ate their BOSS then headed for the boxes. The Fav hissed at them even though they were going for the boxes on either side. Went out about an hour later and I had 5 girls in 3 boxes. Tossed the Fav (no egg). Don't know why they don't hit the community box rather than fighting for space in an occupied nest. They all used the community before I made the one with the enclosed nipple water pipe so it isn't like they've never seen it before.
I got 28 out of around 55 hens. Hard to keep track of how many there are . No eggs from the guineas... None from the geese.... Ducks are laying theirs IN the pond...lol. Oh well. It's fun anyways!
5/8. Could have been more, one broken egg for sure. I thought son opened the coup, busy morning, didn't get to check on them until after lunch. If the run is closed, I usually end up with a broken egg :/. Always in the same box. I think Ding Bat chicken does it, there was not blueish green egg from her today, and there should have been.
