How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I'm losing track here. Had surgery yesterday, and don't feel like looking in the house to see.
I think I got 2 sat and 2 sunday.
Yesterday I was gone, fed the chickens way early.
Checked last night and no eggs.
Red was on the nest an hour or so back.
I imagine Goldie will be there later.

I got 4/6, Buff orp is bowing finally

From thumb clockwise:
Elvis-NH Red- light brown
GaGa-EE-blue egg
Betty White-light pink egg
Fries-NH Red - darker brown with mauve tones

My 3 older hens just started laying Sunday. I'm up to 5 eggs. They are pretty small right now. I hope the increase in size. I have a questions for anyone who may know. How long does it take a hen to lay her egg? Are laying times usually the same for when they lay or do they vary?

We where getting 4-5 but a few days ago the weather cooled down and we got 7 eggs from our 8 hens (four mature and four pullets hatched 3/1/13)...and today the our Maran pullet laid her first egglett so we got 8 eggs.

It can take them a while to lay at first and they can be very loud with their egg songs, sometimes the other pullets even join in "singing" as egg "midwives". The tiny eggs will quickly get bigger and bigger with every egg but, depending on the breed, the eggs seem to be the largest when the hens are about a year old. Our hens lay about the same time every day. One of our new pullets is an evening layer but most lay by noon. We have two nest boxes for eight hens. Occasionally there is squabbling since some hens like to sit in the nest for a bit after they lay. my Buff Orps are notorious for this, sometimes I go out and take them off the egg so the other hens can take their turns.

9/12 from my young pullets again today! One of the EE's keeps laying a green egg in the corner of the coop floor so today I made a long-handled cup to retrieve the egg without crawling in there. Eggs are still running around 1.4 - 1.5 oz, so are very small. Tasty though!
