How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

My hens have been kind of weird lately. I got seven eggs one day, three the next, four yesterday, and I'm waiting to see what i get today. i have ten hens laying right now, and four to lay any day now.

many breeds do not lay daily give it some time takes allot of energy for them to create an egg

3/5 today. I looked out the window this afternoon, just in time to see a free for all, start for an egg laid in the pen. I don't know if it broke when laid, or was a soft shell. But I hope it's one of the two. I'm guessing it was Blondie.

know what feeling walking into my new coop having three broke the yolk gone in all three or at least two

14 eggs today. I also had a broken egg in the nest box. It wasn't eaten though, so I guess it just broke.

@penny1960 I guess you still have to figure out who your egg eater(s) is/are.

I live in Phoenix and my hens are not laying as they should so hot outside. Last week it was 122 degrees and I have misters for them give them plenty of water . Sometimes I get three or two . My RIR (5) of them only layed one egg

3/5 today. Found a shell-less egg broken in nest box today. Egg problems yesterday and today, after 4 days straight of 5/5.
I recently switched within the week, to a different brand of layers pellet. Also a drop in protein, from 18 to 16.
I mixed the new with the old to gradually transition. They are eating the combination. Will have to wait and see if that's the problem. GC

My youngest gran daughter collected the eggs today she didn't count them but Im sure there are over 20
