How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Afternoon tea, in FRANCE? You must be a transplant ;)
Yes I'm definately a transplant! Haha no not afternoon tea - tea (dinner) - that is the Aussie farmers daughter / grandaughter coming out in me - the grandparents always called lunch dinner and dinner tea - I tend to waver depending what we are having - a light meal like scrambled eggs is more like tea to me where if I spend ages cooking it is dinner :lau Afternoon tea is earlier and must involve something yummy - just a cup of tea does not count. Confused yet?? :lau:lau

Nope ;)
Some people in this country call "lunch" dinner and "dinner" supper. Similar "how involved is the cooking" to your Aussie upbringing. I think it goes back to an earlier time when the big meal was mid day. I think the majority of people now have that in the evening. Probably has to do with people going to work at jobs away from home and cooking when they return at night.

I didn't know tea (as a drink) was even allowed in France ;)

8/17 today. BUT!!! Both FBCM laid! One is not as dark as I’d like to see. The other is speckled. So.... we’ll see how their eggs look the rest of this week. I have a couple pullets that have laid once but haven’t laid again. Which is worrisome. But I’m sure they’ll all be joining in shortly. 23 weeks 1 day today.

Absolutely agree - when nan and pa were on the farm they always had a hot meal in the day (except in the worst of summer) and they still do (well not pa anymore as we sadly lost him this week at the grand old age of 97!). I always still want a hot / main meal at night even if I've had a main lunch which isn't good for my weight! My kids get a 3 course hot meal at lunch at school so I could easily have light dinners every night but it doesn't feel right! Of course the French like their main meal at lunch but I'd say most would have a hot meal (even just soup or pasta) for dinner as well.

No we smuggle it in!! Seriously 'proper' tea here is awful - tastes like dishwater - we have people bring it from the UK :lau . 'Tisane' or herbal teas they do very well :D

I've been really surprised how much my shapes, sizes and colours have changed over the last couple of weeks so she might surprise you!
Someone dumped this weird one in a nest box after 6pm today.
 I had a couple of strange ones too - all normal for young pullets from what I can gather - not sure if banty or not though!
