How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

14/16 today,and I have an egg eater in my flock.five days straight I found egg shell in the nest box,,,laying hen for sale.....

12 out of about 30-31 but 6 are broody.

I keeping forgetting to post at night but we got 23 yesterday from our 30 GC's. Only 3 of them were small bantam-sized eggs so some of the Youngsters are getting up to speed. I think they'll all be laying in the next week or two. We've been having miserably hot weather here in central NC with temps in the mid-90's every day for the past 18 days now. But we're getting a break for the next few days with temps falling back to the normal low to mid 80's. Actually tomorrow is supposed to be 78*. Thanks Goodness for them Canadians and their cool air masses!!!

none, nada, zip... . I have 4 that should have started laying by now and the neighbour has heard the egg song... bunch of fibbing freeloaders!!

2/9 - think the huge yellow rat snake we relocated out of the coop last night had anything to do with that?

24 today from our 30 GC's and that's one more than yesterday!!! Plus we only got 3 small bantam-size eggs so the Youngsters are starting to pour it on!!! We've been putting the small eggs in separate cartons and we've been having omelettes every other night or so but today I told a carton of them to work and one of the ladies paid $2.00 for a dozen of them. Allright!!!
