7 out of 9, with one having possible internal laying issues

Of the new ones, no-one is laying yet, but my cuckoo marans are very ready. They have bright red faces, combs and wattles, and they have been squatting for about four days. No-one else in that group of nine is squatting yet, so I am guessing that the rest will take another month or so.

I forgot to post yesterday but we got 25 again from our 30 GC's which tied our all-time record set a week or so ago. Only 2 small bantam-sized eggs this time. We've also noticed the older Gals who were going thru molt appear to be putting on feathers again. Even Miss Pitiful is looking better. She got the worse end of the molt and lost a lot of feathers from her head to her butt. She wasn't naked but she did look pitiful, hence the name.
