How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

2 eggs out of 5 chickens!!

All week long I got 2 out of 2 hens a day. Then I was given two cochin hens Thursday night so on Friday afternoon I had 4 eggs out of 4 hens. When they are in the egg laying mood they are good at what they do! By late next week I will probably be belly aching about no eggs out of 4 hens lol... : )

Yesterday we got 26 from our 30 GC's!!! Way to go, Gals!!! We've already gotten 20 this morning and the Youngsters seem to be more prone to lay in the afternoon. Actually a couple of them will be in the nesting box at dusk this evening and we usually get one or two eggs when I close them up for the night.

8/23 again today. been better this past week. egg production up about 2eggs a day this week. molting stress i guess.
