How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

6/8 again today.

We got 18 today from our 24 BSL's. These young hens are as good as my Golden Comets I had before. Big brown eggs and lots of 'em!

4 from 3 hens. Yep, you read that right! Opened the coop at 7:00 AM and there were NO eggs. Went back around 9:00 AM and there were 4!!

Yesterday we got only 1 so one of the girls must have been holding back on us.

6 yesterday and 5 today ! Definitely better than last week and boy is it cold! We had a high temp of 10 or 11 today.
I think they are getting used to it though because they are going in and out of the coop, when this weather first started they wouldn't budge from inside the coop.
Totally off topic but, I just found out yesterday, my DIL is pregnant with twins! I am so excited!

Now know that both Australorps are laying.
Persephone has matched Andromeda's 10 day streak. Can she beat the record by laying again tomorrow?
Who says cold slows them down. It was -9F this morning.

5/6 today, much better than the 2/day each of the last two days

. But we did make temps of upper 20's today instead of teens, so that probably helped a bit lol.

17 from our 24 BSL's today. Actually, more like 17-1/2. There was one huge egg that I'm sure will be a double-yolker. It won't fit in a carton.
