9/9 !!!! *happy dance* A first for my girls! I am such a proud Chicken Mama!

9 from my 17 hens, but they're young and it's winter. Found out our EE is an olive egger, yay! She lays gorgeous khaki green velvety eggs. And our wheaten Ameraucanas lay beautiful baby blue eggs. Also love our dark speckled Welsummer eggs. I got my colorful basket - woot!

Well, they're not as pretty as EricaD's Easter eggs above but we did get 20 yesterday from our 24 BSL's. Our's are beige and bland (think of Eore saying it).

I had gone out at 5 yesterday evening to let them out for a bit and tidy up the coop. My son went back out at 6 to close the door and one of my EEs had laid her egg. That's the latest they've ever laid. It was still hot, so she laid it in the dark!

Won't even see a W2 'til the end of the month. Not spending any "extra" money just yet!

I got 4/7 eggs this morning, someone decided to bless me again lol. Used to getting 3/7 my others are molting

Yesterday got only 4, today got 8. I have 14 hens in all, the other day I was able to sit out there long enough to watch to see who lays what-watched 5 so now I know 5 more that are laying what. I was pretty excited as I didn't know all who was laying or what their egg looks like.


I am now able to start selling hatching eggs. $5.00 a dozen, they are pet/hatchery quality production reds-layers. I also ship.

only 1 today. My other ladies laid so late yesterday so I wasn't expecting from them today... I should get at least 4 tomorrow though. Kaylee's taking lots of long breaks now... Hope she's ok.

Got 4... Kaylee's taken 4 days off in a row now...

I'm missing those beautiful olive green eggs of hers..
