How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

20 from our 24 BSL's today. It warmed back up today to almost 50 but it was windy cool here in central NC. The ground's thawed back out, at least the top inch or so which makes it a muddy mess. Before we had this deep freeze for the past few days we had a week of constant rain which just made everything a sloppy mess. The freeze froze everything in place and made walking outside a lot easier but now it's getting boggy again.

Only 3 today, nothing from Lucy the barred rock. One of my tetras has frostbite on her comb. Poor girl is just miserable. We brought her inside and put ointment on it but she wanted out and so she is back in the coop. The next few days should be warmer, after some snow tomorrow. At this point ill take 30 degrees as a warm spell.

I'd be interested to know if that 88gram egg is a double yolker.

I'm sure it is, based on size and the lumpy shape. But as my older daughter and I are currently in Oregon, I'll have to find out from my wife (*)

6 Saturday, Zorra took the day off again. 6 Sunday - Zorra produced an 80 Gram egg - Apparently a "double ender" - both ends shaped the same . (Yes, I am getting daily egg reports

(*) Assuming she uses it. Cooking, other than baking, is pretty much delegated to me. My older daughter cooks and bakes some so might use a few eggs on occasion. The younger one is like the chickens, I'm of interest if I'm feeding her, otherwise, not so much (unless she wants a ride somewhere). Yep, DEFINITELY a teenager.
