How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

5/10  I was putzing around in the coop all day long, rigging up an outdoor "safe house" for Scout, so they weren't really happy with me.  

Now mine are just the opposit, days I have errands or appointments my girls always lay less. Today is a good example, was gone most of the day, girls layed 20/24 yesterday & only 11/24 today. They are silly little creatures.

19/23....have three pretty broody girls, continually removing them from the nest boxes.....going to be a long winter, they won't get to practice their turn to sit and hatch until spring. I hope this doesn't last long.

Had to post this egg since you all like egg pics and such. Found this pretty egg yesterday. Two toned, pinkish speckled egg, have no clue who laid it.

I get those too. Pretty white specks, I assume someone is hitting the calcium too hard.

Mine has much bigger specks though.


6 today, I found one underneath the shavings. Treasure for me and yummy too.

Is it a Welsummer egg? I've had one of mine that just must have layed it because when I wiped some poop off from it, some of the brown pigment from the egg got on the paper tower as well.

Well back to normal today, no appointments. The girls layed 19/24 - Woot!
