Five today.....tonite is our coldest yet.....calling for -4°… not as bad as some have it but pretty chilly. I don't know what the windchill is, its 8° right now.

Going down to -10F tonight.  I feel bad for my birdies, even though they're inside the barn in their coop. 

Mine are huddled together in their insulated hen house with the brooder light on. I waited until it warmed up to 11 degrees before going out to feed them; put the eggs (6 today) in the fridge to warm them up.

5/13 it wasn't the usual 3 white 2 brown. Today was 2 white 3 brown which tells me a few egg factories are starting back up slowly but surly

I got 7 today. Yesterday I only got 4.
I have 21 hens of laying age. I usually get 9 12 a day from them.

I think my problem was a combination of switching feeds and this cold freezing weather that has come through the state. I trying to hold out until March to see if they will pick up.

8/23 today, we are going backwards, might be the shake up at the roo's.
