Precocious hens faked me out! No eggs but they did get warm oatmeal.

Gorgeous eggs! What breed of chickens did they come from? I am particularly interested in the dark khaki egg in the back.

Yesterday's #
15/23 - I believe 3 from the EE. Back to snow for Colorado, they were predicting 15 inches, but woke up to a dusting. We will see what today brings.

Singing, from new hen, but no egg. Other layer not due today. Lavander orp is slacker.

I have not heard that we've broken any records. But I guess the big thing is that these temps are sticking for a while. 0° at night wouldn't be so bad if it went up to 30° or higher during the day. But yeah, I'm kind of surprised we haven't gone low enough to set a record.

Well I just checked and they did set a new record low in Lynchburg, VA this morning......but I couldn't find anything on our county.

Maybe you will set a record for most consecutive days of cold weather. It's just crazy isn't it???? BBBBRRRRRRR
