9/9 for the last three days!

With the weather warming backup to something more typical to South Carolina, the girls are getting quite vocal about not being allowed to free range! They want OUT!!! Hold on girls....we're working on it! When my hubby was working on the new coop this weekend, he would look over his shoulder and see all 9 ladies hanging out on their outdoor ladder perch ...staring at him working!

hehehe....this job has way too many supervisors and not enough workers! Meanwhile the hawk is flying over daily but no sign of the coyote.( need an emoticon with a chicken holding a rifle!)

Have a question! I was just at Tractor Supply and picked up a 50 lb bag of flock grower. It said you can feed from hatch to 18 weeks then when I got it home it wasn't clear on the bag if this is meant for layers. Does it make a difference? It's 20% protein with all the usual vitamins and press and probiotics. Will this work for my laying chicks?

It's what I use when I have chicks and layers in the same pen. Feed oyster shell free choice in a separate container and the Bigs will get enough calcium and the Littles won't get too much.
