its normal sometimes they just need the rest from laying alot of eggs a number of days in arow. some days i get 6 7 8 eggs a day from my 8 hens. never get a perfect 100% everyday.i usually get 4 or 5 eggs every day. For the last three days my girls have been roaming the yard (the snow is finally melting) and my egg production has dropped to 3 eggs a day. I have searched everywhere thinking they may have laid them elsewhere. I cant find any secret laying spots and the other eggs were all in the nest. Hmmmmm?!?!
Could the excitement of getting to run around all day change their laying habits?
