How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

My girls were attacked by a cooper's hawk yesterday and got a hold of one of my girls but she got away. 4/5 today. l am putting fishing line over the run to prevent that from happening again. GC

I love green peppers, my favorite, I'll take 4. GC
I'll bring them right over

I am hoping to construct mine this week or next, Maybe do some fall type crops in it and then do a hoop house over the top. I will be doing the "chicken salad" type mix. We don't get a lot of freezing weather here, so I just have to keep it from washing away in the rain. Hopefully by spring I will have a dozen or so of the boxes made for our main coop.
I put some spinach, kale, lettuce & other things in my garden as a cover crop. But I only planted the seeds a couple of weeks ago. If these freezes keep coming, they will all die before they have much of a chance to do anything! I think I will have to get some built this winter as well. I have also thought about using an old window and making a cold frame.

@karenerwin just a helpful child there adoption too late huh..
I am sitting at 13 of 18 + 2
LOL!!

6 eggs today. Tomorrow I am running a 5K with Girls on the Run. I finished the "practice 5K" in 53 minutes. I'm not fast by any means, but I was able to complete it. That's not too bad for someone in their 50's!

I have 4 roosters, but only need 3. I am trying to decide between 2 EE roosters. I am hoping that you all will look at these pictures & help me decide which one to keep. Thanks.

These first 3 pictures are of candidate # 1

The 3 pictures above are candidate # 2.

Both of them are about the same age, with in a few months of each other anyway. The winner will be guardian over my EE hens. Let me know what you think. If you have any questions, just ask. Thanks for looking.

I like and prefer the color of this guy to possibly pass

I have had 2 eggs this week that are very light beige. My Rhode Island has been laying for about a month, but all dark brown. I think maybe my White Rock might be laying. Here's a picture, any thoughts? I have checked her vent & I guess I'm not sure.
