How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Got my 1st two yesterday just a couple hours after getting 3 new hens. Two more today. My other 3 girls just don't seem to be ready yet but I'm still thrilled about my 1st 4 ever!

We hit 2 digit (again) in our count. Last time we hit 10 was 21 Nov!! Our formerly hurt black australorp laid her first egg again today. We are so thrilled.

Really great to hear she's doing well!

Odd you've not been getting 5 every day as seemed the usual for quite a while.

Just 1 today from Pearl.

Yeah I believe its 3 days. Hoping I'll get three more today, I found 2 at 5am when I opened the coop.
This is my first experience with red sex-links. Maybe the shorter days finally caught up with 1 or 2 girls. I checked the vents yesterday and I think Blondie has stopped laying. She was the last to start laying and she laid a few soft shelled and malformed eggs in the beginning.
She and the other girls seem fine, running around and scratching and pecking. So as long as she's acting like a chicken, she can take time off during the shortest days of the year.
I only add light in the morning at 5am and today it sets at 4:29. And the weather has been wacky as I have mentioned in previous posts. GC

5/5 today, yea. Talking about it did something. It was Blondie, the shell looks like the eggs when she started to lay.

it sure is nice they have been in my "bachelor pad" a little 4 x 4 coop just big enough for a couple to grow up
but now today I get to clean that out good for the new from the new years day hatch I should have
