what are the numbers for on the quail eggs?

If the egg has 113 on it that means it's from breeder pen #1 & the day is the 13th. That way I can keep track of which eggs are the freshest & when I set them who the parents are.

Add: Oh, and I got 5 chicken eggs & 8 quail eggs (probably a few out there waiting on me as well but I was done for the day earlier).

We got six healthy eggs. Then one of the girls laid a soft shelled double yolker in the tack room of the barn. I found it because they were eating it. Sigh. This is the first soft shelled egg we’ve ever had. I’ve got my eye on her. So 7 out of 8 pullets.

Not molting, but a buff orpington went broody laying in the favorite nesting box most of the day then when I remove the eggs she runs around making unusual noises

I just got 12 eggs from 13 laying pullets. It’s exciting because this is the first time I’ve ever got a dozen eggs in one day. I’ve just never had this many chickens at one time before. I also got a 1st egg from another one of my EEs. I have three more EEs to start laying now!

Nice color basket there.. I seem to have 7 to start we are as much as 6 hours time difference on here 2 in the silkie coop

Today is the 1st time I've gotten a full dozen, actually a bakers dozen if I count the one that I caught a couple pullets snacking on that was laid out in the yard!

And...I got a 1st egg from my little scalped quail pair today!!!
A couple quail took the day off or weren't finished for day yet. 10 out of 12 quail hen.

Congratulations on your 1st dozen also. Another first for me is I just now sold 5 bakers dozen cartons to my brother! That’s all I had except for the ones I got today.

I got 6 eggs out of 11 pullets that are old enough to lay. Not a great day but an ok day...LOL
