5 yesterday and 7 today, all before 11 am and it was COLD this morning. Youngest got to watch our Barred Rock lay her egg yesterday, pretty cool

Our BCM is struggling with soft eggs They have oyster shell, but I’m going to crush up the Easter egg shells to give them just in case. Her last few eggs have been so fragile and get eaten in the nest, soooooo messy. Then one of the SLW laid this true Easter egg today! Pink with blue dots!

Only 6 eggs today. I sold 5 hens and a rooster yesterday. They’re all a bit shaken up after the commotion. That gets me down to 15 layers, 4 of which are banty girls and 3 of those are broody.

It’s definitely in the air! One more banty and I’ll have an incubator coop. I have hatching eggs in 2 nests and they swap up who’s gonna double up. Very entertaining
