How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Yesterday it was 11 and one banty egg.

First pullet egg today from one of my barred rocks. Oddly enough, one of the jersey giants (pictured) was doing the ‘egg song’ that I have heard chickens do on YouTube videos. The barred rock had been making a lot of growly noises lately. Today I noticed she was isolating and digging a bed in the coop, tossing bedding on her back.

I was hanging out watching her and all the chickens gathered around. She stood up and out popped a beautiful egg. It was darker than what I expected. She is 14-15 weeks old like the rest. Should I expect some from the giant soon maybe? Little egg is here, other egg is a ceramic dummy.

I was just telling hubby how the chickens were slacking today !!! I usally get 15-25 eggs per day and only got 6 today

2 eggs haha I’ve got two adult hens laying and 4 baby chickens which aren’t laying yet, but my older ones lay every day.

Don't think they like these day after of day of 100+ temps - fore cast is for at least the next 10 the same 101-105.
