You get an Easter egg hunt everyday with chickens, my ladies hid them and bury them in front of the door so I step on them.

My flock of 4+roo came home with me Thursday night. They’re older birds but I think they’re starting to recover from the stress of the move. I check for eggs in the early afternoon and at sunset.

Friday = 2 + 1 broken
Saturday = 4
Sunday = 1
Monday = 1 + 2 cracked + 1 eaten(culprit had yolk on her face)
Tuesday = 2 + 1 cracked

So far Wednesday (today) = 1 + 2 cracked but there’s been a later layer so I might get one more tonight.

Pretty sure the cracking issue is due to poor nest bedding. Going to try to remedy that soon. Can’t really blame the girls for having a snack if it cracks right open for them.

They bury them in their little quarantine coop. Which is not big enough for me to be hunched over and sorting through bedding. And they have, at minimum, another week in there, though 3 would be ideal.

From my Female goose Ophelia only 1,My 11 duck hens 15 ,My two Turkey hens one of my turkey hen is broody ,but my other hen i got 2 yesterday from her today ,and 1 Today.Then from my chickens 12 chicken hens 10.Pretty happy from the results!

There are eggs out there but I didn't collect today. Massive headache and asked brother to check feed and water and close thire door. I'll get them at 3AM when I get up for work.

9 from 12 today. They been averaging about 9. Can't wait for the rest of the snow to melt. My run is pretty muddy. On a good note my poultry netting showed up. My new solar charger is setting outside to get charged for a few days.

Still no sign of an egg out of the French girls. They are showing signs of maturity as they are not near as flighty and calmly walk over my feet when I have the feed can or am filling there water... They know who I am when I enter their house.
