How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

For the past 2 weeks i collect eggs every morning, but only seem to find 2 every other day. Then the next morning there is 7-10 in the box. I only have 5 chickens. Today i found 8.

Try collecting them in the evening. My hens lay between 9:00am-2:00pm in the afternoon so in the evening there done till the next day.

My hens usally lay before 9:a.m so i collect then. Its just wierd how all of a sudeen im getting 11-12 eggs every 2 days . I know at one point in winter i collected 20 eggs because they were hiding them.

Only 3 eggs a day for last 4 days. Trying to work out if it's just 1 not laying or taking it in turns. Not easy when they are all light Sussex.

My hens usally lay before 9:a.m

Mine are late ones at 9am there just getting in there boxes and I’ve caught a couple in there before 2pm laying that’s why I just wait till the evening and I’m not around the coop or in it disturbing them I give the plenty of privacy in the morning. They will hide one once a great while if so I usually just throw that one away because I have no idea how long it’s been there.
