Right now I'm not.... but I will be, very soon
I've been fighting cancer for the past year. BUT I'm almost done with all my treatments. And I'm incredibly stubborn.... I'm gonna be fine.

The cancer was the reason I rehomed the biggest part of my flock. But I'm already making plans to add more chicks, maybe in the fall.

This whole experience has been quite an adventure. But it made me realize, I'm a lot tougher than I thought I was

Today I got 9 of 9, and my FBCM is broody again. She’s not a good mother, I let her try once and the chick that hatched ended up cold & dead in the coop….so will have to start breaking her. Put her on the roost tonight when it got dark. Oh, joy…lol

I wasn't thinking when I gave away so many of my birds, I didn't keep a good mama. I have 5 right now who are wanting to be broody, but none of those are good mama material. (I have them all in broody jail.) When I decide to get more chicks I have no mama hen to raise them for me.
