How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I've been getting 21-22 eggs per day, consistently, since Feb. 5th, from 31 layers. That's 4.9 eggs per week per hen, or about 255 eggs per year each, on average. That's including 14 hens who are 2 years old or older, and 17 at one year or younger. WOW - They're doing GREAT!!

I've got 5 more pullets starting to lay now, and 10 more coming along in a month or so.

Hopefully when fall molt starts for my older birds (and I cull some of the eldest) and then winter sets in, the youngsters will pick up the slack and our egg production *should* stay up through the winter months. Meanwhile, my freezer is filling up fast with cockerels. My plan is working!
