How many layers do you have? My gals are all molting too. I'm not getting many eggs, but the cats are fully enjoying pouncing all the feathers flying around the yard

33, but they range from 1,5 to 4,5 years old, the majority around 3+ years.

At 20 weeks old, the 13 pullets have not started the egg production yet, but judgeing by their reddening comb, wattles and faces, at least one of my 5 possible Olive Eggers will soon begin.

Hopefully your pullets will lay through the winter for you. I didn't add any this year, so when my girls call it quits for the season I'll have to resort to store bought eggs.

They ususally do as they are offspring of my older hens which are great layers still, just not when moulting

Store bought eggs are something we avoided since more than 20+ years. I hope you will not have to buy any.
