I love the egg pics! I have to remember to take more of them. Ladies laid me 9 today! The pullet eggs are getting a little bigger now!

And Marty the brat didn’t want to go back to bed after I got her up to take her calcium - I am giving her a 1/4 tablet every other day. She marched over to the feedroom and demanded mealworms and then wouldn’t leave, so I plopped her in the crate she was in when she was moulting - she was happy to dig around and peck at whatever she could find for a snack in there. She has me well trained.

I got 4 out of 5 today. I ended up selling 3 cartons yesterday! My friend took them to a bakery that sells local eggs. It’s fun to give them to people but sometimes it’s nice to have a little cash!

I got 4 out of 5 today. I ended up selling 3 cartons yesterday! My friend took them to a bakery that sells local eggs. It’s fun to give them to people but sometimes it’s nice to have a little cash!

Oh, yes...truly "farm fresh" eggs in the dead of winter, a treasure! How lovely that the bakery sells local home-grown eggs!

Three eggs Sunday, 5 yesterday and 5 today! My 8 pullets are keeping us so well stocked, I need to palm some more off on my local daughter again. (Over 4 dozen on hand now.) And make another big batch of deviled eggs, more custards, another quiche...such a bounty!

It appears everyone is still laying at least a couple times a week, but the real champions remain the 2 Eggers and Martha the Whiting's True Blue. Jill the Delaware's pink-blushed browns are almost as regular, and Xena the PBR's golden tans ~4/week. The regular browns, hard to know unless I see the working girl settled in the nest box, then find her egg. Love the daily treasure hunt!
