How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

A couple of the girls took a break so five eggs today. I'm starting to accumulate a second dozen for my neighbor to buy this week. Three weeks of egg sales (6 dozen) pay for the monthly chicken feed, and I still have eggs to eat myself.

Just 2 today, and neither were small and beige! Juin finally broke her daily streak of 46 eggs!

Update: 4 today, just found another as I checked on the flock. It was probably Martha laying again, now that she's kicked the chicks to the curb!

5 yesterday! I think Lua is getting broody as she was laying in the eggs and got incredibly upset when gently nudged her to get the eggs. She squawked so the world knew of the tragedy and went back in the hen house.

Not sure what to do with her, but she is a nice girl.
