I collected 5 from the agapanthus patch and dropped a few golf balls in there in the hope they'll keep laying there since they're so insistant of laying outside the nesting boxes.

I was getting plenty during the unseasonal warm weather .. since the cold has returned there has been less action. Betty bantam rushed from the coop to the agapanthus patch about 30mins ago. She can hold those eggs hostage lol

I am sure the youngsters are hiding eggs in the barn somewhere!

Ouch-egg girl laid her kind of big egg this morning, so back to 6 out of 6. Lovely layers!

2 today, from Juin and Juillet who had a bit of a tussle over the favored nest box. Juin came away with a bloody comb, poor thing. Nothing serious though, and I patched her up right away.

It’s finally happened! My sweet Août is molting! Gone are the days of watching her look dejected and droopy, wondering if she’ll lay another soft egg overnight. She has pep in her step now, and is frolicking and playing with the young pullets! It’s such a heartwarming sight to behold!
