3 today!! I have a new layer today. A Plymouth Barred Rock this time! Looks like her egg color is darker than the first BR but lighter than my Australorp. It looks pinkish in person but camera doesn't pick it up. So exciting!!

I do not let my broodies hatch eggs. It’s too difficult to get rid of the Roos. As it is I have three that need to be dispatched. And I cannot find anyone around here to do this. So frustrating.

Still no luck rehoming my Roos. Guess I will need to think of some other way to re-home them.

Kijiji is our online market place, but the people who take them tend to get a whole bunch and throw them all in together to fight and all. Then they are killed for eating. Which I am ok with. But I would prefer they killed thwm here so I know they are not abused or neglected. But no one wants to do that.

Very good point. I would rather cull a rooster than have it abused.
