That is an odd schedule!

I have my older hens who lay about 2 or 3 times a weeks but it’s nothing regular.

It is odd indeed. I am keeping an eye on her, I wonder what up with that. Might be it has something with the extra treat I give them 1 or 2 a week.

22 eggs - drats! I hoped they were slowing up.

But on the slightly good side, my OEGB bantam pullet laid an egg in a nest box today. Yay! But I wonder were she’s been laying the others.

Five today! One green from my easter egger, two brown from my buff orpingtons, one speckled from my welsummer, and one white from my deathlayer.
We also just purchased a splash ameraucana, a blue ameraucana, and a French copper marans that we'll pick up in a few weeks

3 eggs yesterday.

My Japanese bantam is in broody house again. I read somewhere online that Japanese bantam will lay a clutch of egg then go broody. This is a repeated thing with this breed. I do notice my JBantam does that. Anyone has the same experience?

Also, we shared a dozen eggs with an elderly couple who live across the way. They love watching me chasing my flock around the yard, and always wave as they drive by. It makes me happy that my girls can bring joy to the neighborhood as well as us!

1 early today. I think it was from Joan - she never lays in the nest. I've actually witnessed her leave the coop and lay one on the open lawn lol
