How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I did at one point, Its usually around 10 or 11, but not in this heat

For a while I was getting 1 or 2 a day then out of the blue I'd get 3 or 4. More of this month has been bad for egg laying but I got the layer feed they love and I dumped some shredded paper in the coop and now it's been 5 or 6 a day. I have 6 hens that are laying and of course my duck. Hopefully the other 4 will get started laying soon.

I have a book for writing down how many eggs I get. You can probably make some of your own on the computer

I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I highly recommend the Flockstar app! You do have to pay for it monthly though.

5 eggs yesterday, from everyone but Juin

I have a little log book where I track weather, eggs, and garden harvests. This is one of my egg pages:



I like that it’s colorful, and I can track week, month and year totals, but I wish I’d found a way to sneak the dates in somewhere. Maybe I’ll come up with a better system next year.

Got 6 chicken eggs but no duck egg

(7/29) 8! Collected 4 duck and 4 chicken. One duck egg broke though, so I got 3.

(7/30) Got 7. 4 duck and 3 chicken.

After taking a couple days off, we got 4 for 4 yesterday.
