Yesterday was supposed to be 5 but I didn't pay attention to the fact that I used the t instead of the 5.

4 eggs today, from Août and the young hens

Juillet has started frolicking again, which likely means she’s done laying for a while. She’s my biggest hen and she bounces around, playing with the other girls, chasing falling leaves. It’s so cute! Her eggs are wonderful, but I love when she’s like this most of all.

It's so amazing to me how chickens behave. My Rhode Island Red, Darlin is always talking when I get close to them. She's so sweet that I can guarantee that if anyone came into my yard and called her name she would be so easy for them to pick her up and just walk away with her. It's a bit troublesome for me to know that but she's still Mom's favorite girl.

It's so amazing to me how chickens behave. My Rhode Island Red, Darlin is always talking when I get close to them. She's so sweet that I can guarantee that if anyone came into my yard and called her name she would be so easy for them to pick her up and just walk away with her. It's a bit troublesome for me to know that but she's still Mom's favorite!

They really are amazing creatures! They never cease to amaze me!
