How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

6 eggs yesterday. Spring is here and all the hens have returned to egg laying.

Some have blood stain on the eggshells, they have not lay egg for half a year and my Silver laced Wyandotte has not lay any egg for over 9 months, she is back laying her 1st egg after a long absent period. I did ask her what took her so long? She says molting, resting, then winter, ......huh....as far as I am concern that is a lot of excuses

I have a couple of hens who also used those excuses over the past 6 months

So far I got 6 but I think Darlin is holding out for some reason. She probably thinks she needs more bedding but with the bedding that's in the box she should be fine but she's being a brat.

I got three, one was a softer shell. I was getting up to 12 a day then the kids offered to help chicken duties while I tended to the gardens more, suddenly I was getting 1-2 eggs. I was thinking they had a secret nest but it turns out they were feeding chick starter instead of my breeder/layer pellets
