Not a fan of Purina! Same thing happened to our birds while I was trying to find a place to buy Kalmbach feed around here! They looked healthy but egg production was way down!2 today…one from the Banty hen and one from Flossy I believe. Flossy hasn’t laid eggs regular in about a year, since I got a free bag of Purina layer feed last summer. Her comb has been more pink than red in that time, even though I switched back to my regular local mill layer feed after that one bag of Purina.
I’ve got a new Buff Orpington who’s molting and her comb is pink. Flossy’s is more red now, but not as dark red and the Banty hen, who had been laying regular.
Anyhow…it’s nice to have the egg rack filing up again!
I use Purina Horse feed and dog food. Never had a problem before. Not a fan of Purina! Same thing happened to our birds while I was trying to find a place to buy Kalmbach feed around here! They looked healthy but egg production was way down!![]()
