5. I got 7. I would have 8 but I am not about to go into the mud puddles in the back yard to find the other duck egg.

Your eggs are so pretty! Who laid the speckled green eggs and the pink one with white specks?9 today. My stock pile may finally be back to keeping up with demand from the extended family. Currently have 3 dozen fresh eggs.

A barred rock laid the one with white speckles and I'm not too sure who laid the green speckled one. I have a couple guesses and both are birds I hatched last summer. Honestly contemplating adding it to my incubator but it currently has quail eggs in there on day 4, but I also have another incubator on the way that should be here before the quail eggs hatch... I think I'm talking myself into itYour eggs are so pretty! Who laid the speckled green eggs and the pink one with white specks?

Well I did it, just popped 3 of the barred rock eggs and the one green speckled egg. I planned on hatching some of the barred rock's eggs anyways as I want some more sex linked chicks, though I'm hoping for mostly cockerels to raise as meat birds. I was tempted to add a couple more but all the eggs I have on hand are not really birds I want to hatch from, though I had lots of pretty greens and blues to pick from.Absolutely! I am holding back every day I see a gorgeous, well shaped egg. Must. Hatch.
