How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Got 5 today. Not sure what is going on with them but I think I might need to have a talk with them and see what's up.

I'm at 5 so far. So I ended with 8 but it would have been 9 but I wasn't sure about the duck egg I found under the porch so I ended up cracking it open.

Think it’s 17, which excludes a wee OEGB Bantam egg. I gathered the eggs but didn’t give a good count (plus I am an old lady and my memory isn’t what it used to be at 19!), about half the flock is laying and the rest are lawn ornaments. I am ok with that, the older ladies are valuable with training up the youngsters, and keeping the boys in line!

(2/12) Collected 4. 3 duck and 1 pullet. A standard hen laid but the egg was broken.

(2/13) 8! 4 duck, 2 bantam, 1 pullet, and 1 standard.

(2/14) 7. 4 duck, 1 bantam, 1 pullet, and 1 standard. Another standard hen laid but someone broke the egg and ate it?

(2/15) Got 7. 4 duck, 1 bantam, 1 pullet, and 1 standard. Again, another standard hen laid but the egg was broke, at the top only? I think someone is eating them.

Technically yesterday for me, but I got 5. Put all of them in cartons for the "week" and had a total of 44 eggs over the last 11 days.

Im so stoked when I think about our new layers I want to see their spring eggs!!!
