How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

16/23 back up again today. I guess they must have gotten the word that I was calling them slackers again or they might have just been taking off for Sunday services, anyway glad they decided to contribute to the cause today.

2 soft shell, 8/10 (confusing since only 1 of my 6 brown egg layers didn't lay and one of my bantams didn't lay cant figure out the math lol)

Got 22 eggs today, the MOST in a long time! I've only been getting on the average 12 to 15, but some days as little as 9 or 10. This is from 38 girls, but some pullets haven't started laying yet (and some hens are REAL old).

3 from four.
Wish my chicks could lay

Last week finally my EE born in April presented us with a beautiful egg and has laid every day except sunday. I had 4 chicks all but "Martha" were roos(who now have new homes), and I added 3 girls born in August from my pet chickens to my miniflock. They are all together and by next spring I am hoping for 4 eggs a day! But for now I am happy to get Martha's daily egg.

I got my first egg yesterday. Don't have a clue which hen layed it.
Is there a time of the day that hens or more apt to lay than others?

They can lay any time of day, mine are usually done by noon.

5/7 today for me. First time a 5 egg day so the girls are going in the right direction! I immediately made fresh pasta with the eggs this morning. Yummmm

Well, I found a nest yesterday UNDER the coop of all places. 24 eggs total in it. Today i stopped the one I knew was laying under there from doing that today. So far we have had 8 eggs out of 22. This after one got detailed by a hawk but it did not stop her laying. I am sure I will find one or two more today as I do have a couple of late layers. All chicks are 30 weeks old now.
