19 Yesterday but we're not sure about how many layers we have now. We think 21 but who knows. We added 11 new started pullets to the flock 3 weeks ago and we've been getting 2 smaller eggs for the past 3 days. So I'm assuming we have 21 layers. As Martha would say... "It's a good thing."
21 Today from ???. All I know is we're now getting eggs from our 11 new GC's. We got four of them today. Yesterday we got two. They're small but they're fully formed, like a bantam egg. Hopefully in a few weeks all our GC's will be up to speed and pumping out close to 30 eggs a day. I can sell every one I get at work, believe me! My coworkers are crazy for them and they shell out $3/dz without hesitation. The pecking order is settling down too. There's still some going on but it's been much better for the past couple of days now. We're still seeing signs of molt, especially in our original 6 hens. Lots of white underfeathers showing now. Lots of loose feathers on the ground inside the run too.
ZERO AGAIN! Out of 7 hens. I'm seriously considering putting them on food rations until they stop freeloading. I pour in the food, grit, oystershell, and get POOP. No eggs, just poop!
