23 Today from our 30 Gold Comets!!! I'm not sure how many are layers but they all seem to be coming on pretty fast now. We only got 3 bantam-size eggs today. Yesterday we got 4.

Out of 18 I was getting 14 a day, but the pass couple of days we have had 103 temps at our place in Florida and they have gone down to 9 yesterday and only 7 today. I guess it is the heat that has slowed them down. Not really sure cause I still consider myself a newbie cause we have only had chickens for about 18 months. I hope they get back to laying soon cause a few of my customers will be back from vacation and wanting eggs again.

Polled the folks in East TN over the last two weeks and we're all down to ~ 20% production from a month ago. Temps in the low 90's, but the humidity's so thick it's like trying breath a wool curtain. Shade, water, fan-generated breezes, wer're tryin' everything we can think of to no avail.
