How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Didn't post yesterday but we got 20 eggs. Some of them were on the small side from our new layers we added about a month ago. I believe we have six of the new 11 started pullets that are now laying. I'll be glad when their eggs come up to large so they will offset the hens we have in molt right now. So far Teresa says we've gotten 20 eggs and only 3 are on the small side. Some of the Gals lay in the afternoon. I've even got one that lays right at dusk. Go figure.

Oh, and the other day I took a little straw down to the coop to put in the nesting box to replenish what they'd scratched out. I took it in a big galvanized tub that I set up on top of the coop when I was done and walked away leaving it there. There was still some straw in it when I set it up there. The next day Teresa complained that I took her tub and would I please go fetch it. Well, there were 4 eggs in it when I took it down.

Not a lot today but it was 100F. 3 out of 5 silver laced wyandottes. 1 out of 2 barred rocks and 1 Rhode Island Red. 3 out of the 6 pullets that we know that 5 out of the 6 are laying.
