14 out of 15; I love my lady leggers. One is a double yolker so that makes up for whoever was slacking.

If they are not broody, they are getting over being broody.
I have a clicker in the coop to keep track of the total number of eggs we have gotten since they started to lay last august.
we are up to 3427.
they can rest.
that's a lotta eggs.

13/16 today,I had one hen eating eggs,I finally discovered the guilty one,I put her in a pen alone for two days then put her back with the flock,she has not ate an egg since,maybe she read the writing on the wall???

It seems that all of my silkies are trying to go broody and I have 2 with chicks right now. Plus it is EXTREMELY hot this week, so I don't think they are doing so bad!

Seven out of nine laying with one of those probably on strike, playing at being broody. I say playing at, because she sits on the nest and screams and chitters at any bird that comes near her, but then gets up to scratch around in the run and wander around in the coop. The new girls aren't laying yet, but the oldest of them are 19 1/2 weeks, and the youngest are 17 1/2 weeks. They are all getting red-faced and one of the Marans squatted for my husband yesterday. So. . . we may be up to our eyeballs in eggs in a week or two.

I got 4 eggs today from 7 hens - first eggs altogether were last saturday, we are picking up speed. I better practice my easter egg hunting though, found one under the tree in the yard.
