26 from our 30 GC's today! When I let the Gals out for free-ranging this evening at dusk for an hour or so I gathered eggs and there were 23. But when I went back out at 10:30 to lock them up in the coop there were 3 more nice big ones in the nesting box. Nice suprise. My guess is that all eleven of our newest 11 GC's we added back in the middle of May are now laying. We still get some smaller eggs that are really mediums and we get some really large mega-eggs tht weigh in at 3 ozs or better. I'm pretty sure these are all coming from the Youngsters. Their systems have settled down yet.

One little brown egg in the nest box and one smashed pullet egg under the roost (think it caught her by surprise). 11 chickens but only just starting to lay.
