How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

With the heat lamp, I get 2.7 eggs per day from 3 chickens. Without, I get 1.9
I don't know if it matters to them but I feel like I am making it easier on them without the heat lamp so I am on the 1.9 plan but as the days get longer, I bet I'll start to get more.

24 producing girls gave 14 today(when it was in the 20s I got about 5 a day). My experience is the warmer it is the better the egg production(well- not TOO warm!). Its been in the 60s in central Ohio lately and should get back to seasonal cools so we'll see.

8 eggs, but now I only have 3 hens. A stray dog killed 7 for sport this afternoon. and my beautiful barred roo I have had the dog removed by the humane society. Had to put one hen out of her misery. Guess I'll take my 8 eggs and put them in the incubator.......

NONE! I GOT NONE!

However, of my 5 adult hens, one is a broody Mama, one is an ol' lady and two are in their first molt. I have the solution already in the works: there are five 7 week olds in the garage and 15 more coming in April! YAY for chicken math!

I got 8 of 9 that are laying. A record for our girls.

4/4 YEAH!!!! My GLW and Delaware are giving me about 3 a week. They started laying later than my RIR's.
