got 6/11. This is the first 6 egg day so I'm excited!!! Soon I'll join the how many eggs did you sell today!!!!!!
Also the anticipation for me is over. (still anticipating the first 7 egg day and such up to 11) but I have a bunch of barnies I got from an old farmer. He told me they were dominics but as they grew it was obvious they were mixed barnies with most looking like barred rocks but 3 looked like astralorpe or EEs as they were mostly black and had muff's, one looked maybe like a red sex link. So as they grew I wondered what mix are they and what will their eggs look like particularly the ones I thought were EE's.
I have one blue egg, one green egg, 2 rose/brown eggs and 2 dark brown (not chocolate) eggs. The other I pretty sure I know what their eggs will be since they are mostly pure that I add from ACE later. Very excited about the green and the blue; What a nice surprise. I love my little barnies they have been fun to watch grow, to guess what they were and now I accidently have a beautiful rainbow of eggs!
3 from 4 today! We're back up to 'full production' now, the new girls are laying every day and Crockpot lays 2 out of every 3 days (narrowly avoiding a one-way ticket to freezer camp, I might add). Drumstick is a confirmed freeloader; she's been in the sick ward recovering from a limp for nearly a week and hasn't laid a single egg (and none of the ones that HAVE been laid have been pecked or eaten so she is definitely the culprit there too), so she'll join us at the dinner table soon.
