Got 3 from 5 hens!!!

Sadly, I think that the only one laying right now is the runner duck, although I have foung a couple "soft shell " eggs the last couple days.... I have 15 girls (1 Speckles Sussex, 5 Donimiques and 9 Barred Rocks) that are right in the range, at 20 weeks , to start laying. I am anxiously awaiting their first eggs! there will be an angelfood cake in my future, I hope". It is exciting going out to check though...cant wait to find the first chix eggs.

The HUGE one to the right is from one of my EE's, who just started laying last week! I can't believe something that big came out of her, it seems huge compared to the rest... it weighed 2.4 oz, the others are around 1.5 oz.
