jajajajaja thats funny im starting to get scared of these many eggs but i got people that want to buy them wich is good and among other little nicknacks that me and my girlfriend do from chicken feed bags so its cool and yesterday i picked up 26 more little chicks and maybe next weel a couple more

oh do you guys make those cool tote/shopping bags outta the feed bags?? they sell em in our feed store(one of the employees makes them), much sturdier than reg recyclable type reuse bags and cute too!

that's my dream some day, I'm still 5/8 but closer than last week's 4/8, my smallest youngest (underdog)pullet I just noticed today is startin to look redder and bigger in the comb, so soon maybe a few weeks??

I found a REALLY good way to find hidden nests. I didn't want to hold them inside for most of the day waiting for eggs, so i let them out later then usual. Watch your leghorn. If she makes a bee line for a certain place, that is her nest. You may have to vary time, depending on how late she lays. hope it helps!

Thank you, I'll try that. I got 2 from 3 laying and the leghorn still did not lay anywhere I checked.

#5! We've been getting 1 everyday since this past tues. My daughter and I did an egg watch today to see who it was that was laying. It's Ruby one of our white leghorns, I can't believe that Ezmae isn't laying, she's much bigger than Ruby. Ruby held out till 5pm today!! She usually lays around 12-1 but it may be our fault since we were watching her~soon as we went in the house~there she went and layed!

I just can't wait till they all start laying~we will have 13 laying in a couple of more months. I calulated today 13 hens-1 a day for 7 days it is 91 eggs a week!!! YIKESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. But I am confident that we will have a healthy business plus my daughter already has people she has in mind to give them to, and our church's food bank. She is such a giver...wonderful young lady.

Found another egg in the boxes when I went to put the ladies up for the night!!!!! not sure if it was another club member or not but I did see another one of the RIR's dinking
around in the boxes late today but didn't think she was in there very long, they've been checking out all the other girls laying and very curious as of late......
