Today was the first time EVER we got 13 eggs from 13 birds!!! Yay so super stoked!!

9 from 10 layers! A very good day. We thought we were only getting 6 but then my husband checked at 2 pm just before he went to work and there was 1 more, then I checked when I came home around 4:30 and there was 2 more! We have 2 buffs that consistently lay under the nest box ( there is about a 6-7inch space) my husband says they have to stop that, he can't get down there to get the eggs so well. I say as long as they are laying I don't care where they lay them!

I have 7 chickens, one is broody and stopped laying, and got 5 eggs for the first time yesterday!! One more to go!!

First egg on August 4th at 17 weeks
6 eggs two days in a row now, up from 4-5/day last week
(several little and an occational weird soft egg i'm betting from the new gals starting up)
7 possibly 8 layers now, 8 total pullets

The new layers are 22 weeks 4 days
