How many Eggs did you Sell today?

I sold two dozen this week. I can sell about as many as my gals produce. People LOVE my rainbow eggs. I almost think I am going to have to get a small fridge to keep just eggs in, when they really get moving.

My older hens all decided to molt and not lay at the same time, and I was getting about a dozen a week. ICK!

But now the youngsters are kicking in.

I finally sold 4 doz. this weekend. That's the first I've sold in around 3 weeks, hope things pick up, a little more. I got about 45 doz. that needs to move, it gets a little tight for feed some weeks. The ol' gals are doing their job if I could get their produce marketed, it would all work just good this winter.

you have 45 dozen that you need to sell????????? or 4 - 5 dozen?

I hadn't checked here for a couple of days, guess prolly cause I haven't sold any eggs, any way

Yeah it was forty-five doz. prolly more like 47 or 48 now as I'm averaging a doz. a day and we use a doz. or so a week around the house.

Have had a couple of the relatives mentioning they would like to HAVE some yard eggs but havn't said anything about PURCHASING any if you know what I mean.

Seems they think that chickens just lay eggs for FREE or really CHEAP. Oh well, I'll find a market for them eventually. They sure take up a lot of space in a hurry though.
