How many eggs do you get each day?

Not enough! I have 19 mature hens and am only getting 7-10 eggs a day (I take that back-today I only got 6). However (and this is another topic), 2 of them are 4-1/2 years old, 8 or 9 are 3-1/2 and the rest are down from there, so...

I do have 11 that are about 17 weeks old and close to another dozen a few weeks behind them so I'm looking forward to getting more soon. Anyway, I simply cannot keep up with the demand for my eggs--I am turning people away and what with all the more I've been getting, it's no wonder.

I have six hens now (just lost my best layer), I was averaging about 5 a day in late August, but now I'm getting none. Not one in a full week. The girls are just coming out of a hard molt, and I have 6 BR girls who are 2o weeks old, but their combs still aren't red yet. 12 cockerels to go in the freezer soon, 25 cochins and silkies only a couple of months old, so I'll be lucky to get an egg from the bantam coop before Memorial Day.

Hopefully I'll be brimming with eggs come spring.

Okay I have 19 hens....4 are pullets...I average 11 eggs a day...I have two old dames in there also......enjoying the coop nursing home..

We have 2 Blk sex links, 4 Blk austrolorps, and an ameraucana, a total of 7 hens. We get 6 eggs a day from our black girls, and our special needs ameraucana lays about every other day... because she can't get in a box to lay we find her eggs scattered around the coop or run.. These girls are all 7 months old and have been laying baout 2 months now.. very consistently!

..i have 21 hens, and about 10 are laying now...so,i got 10 eggs yesterday..but only 5 today...

I have 5 salmon favorelles, 4 chanteclers, 2 jersey giants, 2 barred hollands, 3 americaunas, 3 silver lakenvelders and 2 cuckoo maranz that are 29 weeks old. 2 days ago I had 14 eggs, yesterday 9, today 16. Some are just starting to lay. I weigh them periodically. Today the smallest weighed in at 37 grams. The other day one of the cuckoo maranz lqid an egg that weighed 90 grams. It was just a double yolker. I have another group that is 16 weeks old. They are 5 buckeyes, 3 sussex pullets - 2 sussex roos and 5 buckeyes. I give them scratch and grower food,

I have the chantecler that goes broody. Well she is still sitting. I make her get up every once in awhile. Today, she laid another egg. Looks like it's every 4-5 days for her.

Meg
